Folly Wall
The Barking Folly Wall is a rough, crumbling two storey brick wall holed with alcoves containing fragments of sculptures. The wall was created as part of a regeneration project of the Barking Town centre with bricklaying students helping in the building of the structure. The ruins of arches stand on top, and it is crowned by a sculpture of a ram. It is quite fragile looking, just two bricks deep in Flemish bond, supported by steel struts behind. Its remit was to hide the back wall of Iceland on the high street.
