As you will be aware the Government recently made an announcement involving the implementation of the Education Contingency Plan.
Due to the high levels of the Coronavirus within Barking and Dagenham only vulnerable pupils and those pupils whose parents are critical workers will be able to attend Warren Junior School throughout this period.
The Government has announced that it plans to review this arrangement before Monday 18th January.
We will continue to provide updates on the school website as and when things change.
Within this section of the website you will find lessons and activities that your child can do at home during this period.
You will find information about remote learning as well as pages specific to individual year groups that have suggested learning opportunities.
The lessons are divided up into days and are a mixture of online activities and ones that can be completed offline.
Most of these worksheets will not need to be printed. Children can complete most of the activities on paper. Please take a photo of your childs work and upload it to Purple Mash so that your childs teacher can give feedback.
Every day will start with an explanation from a teacher from within your childs year group and give details of the lessons and timetable for the day.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact your childs teacher via Purple Mash.
Your child will be familiar with the online learning resource called Purple Mash and they all have their own username and password.
Purple Mash can be accessed via most internet devices but some of the details can be missed when accessed on a smaller phone.
Teachers have allocated lessons and activities that are specific to current year group topics. In addition, there are suggestions about project work, useful websites, PE, activities for the whole family, emotional well-being activities and apps to use as well as guidance on supporting your child with reading.
Teachers will respond to work that has been set via Purple Mash and if your child has completed work on paper please take a photo of the work and upload it to Purple Mash for your childs teacher to give feedback.
Your childs teacher will contact you every week via phone to offer support to your child and if you have any questions about Remote Learning please contact the school office via the email address below.
